Termite Control for Gauteng Homes, Estates & Building Sites

Subterranean termites destroy wooden floors, roof beams, cupboard bases and skirting boards. Harvester termites strip lawns. We treat both, including pre-construction soil treatment on new building stands.

Signs of infestation

Built-in cupboard bases eaten away, with a mudpack-type nest at the bottom
Hollow, eaten-away skirting boards
A mudpack build-up against an outside wall or pipe
Small mushrooms popping up overnight in outside paving
Bare patches in the lawn with a nest hole in the middle (harvester termites)

How we treat them

01
Drill and inject
Drilling approximately every metre around infested areas or the entire house, and injecting into the foundation.
02
Wooden floors
Drenching the soil under old wooden floors, through the air vent or a small 15 × 30 cm hatch in the floorboard.
03
Harvester termites
A spray of the entire lawn or paving area, drenching the nest holes found, followed by a granular bait treatment.
04
Pre-construction
Soil poisoning of foundation trenches and surrounds on residential and commercial property stands.

In many cases the entire house does not need treating, particularly a concrete-based house. If infested areas are on opposite sides of the house, it is best to treat the entire house. For old houses with wooden floors, it is advisable to treat all rooms. If a cupboard base has collapsed, make sure it is not damp related.

Our large-scale services cover the construction, commercial and residential markets: harvester termite lawn treatments in complexes and lifestyle estates, and pre-construction soil poisoning for subterranean termite prevention on property stands.

GUARANTEE
5-year guarantee on treated areas

Subterranean termite treatments carry a 5-year guarantee on the treated areas.

Termite control questions

What is a subterranean termite treatment?

A drill-and-inject treatment into the foundation of the house, drilling approximately every metre around infested areas or the entire house.

What are the signs of subterranean termites?

A built-in cupboard base eaten away partially or completely, with a mudpack-type nest at the bottom, or hollow, eaten-away skirting boards. Outside, look for a mudpack build-up against a wall or pipe, or small mushrooms that pop up overnight in paving.

My house has old wooden floors with a problem in one room.

We access under the floor and drench the soil underneath to create a barrier, either through the air vent from outside or by cutting a small 15 × 30 cm hatch in the floorboard. For old houses with wooden floors it is advisable to treat all rooms.

Do I have to treat my entire house?

In many cases this is not necessary, particularly in a concrete-based house. If the infested areas are on opposite sides of the house, it is best to treat the entire house.

Is there a guarantee on a subterranean termite treatment?

There is a 5-year guarantee on the treated areas.

What is the treatment for harvester termites?

A spray treatment of the entire lawn or paving area, with drenching of the nest holes found, followed by a granular bait treatment. Lawn treatments could require a follow-up after the initial treatment.
